Hi,

I am writing you from Germany.

I have Plex on my Mac and since a few days also the new Boxee.

I read in the forum, that there is a new Version / Build.

But, how can I update Boxee ? I can not find anything in the internet and on this forum ( hope I looked good enough )

- How to check, if new Version / Build is available
- And how do I install it ? (de-install and re-install is not the best way...)

THX for your help

Have a nice week´

BR

The last release of boxee was a "silent release."

You can download the latest version here:
boxee.tv/download

Be sure to delete your UserData folder -- see my sig where it says "how to send a debug log --" it'll show where the UserData folder is located.

Hi NomadDNA

wow, that was a quick answer, thank you very much.

Does this mean, with every new version, I have to make a complete
de-installation - and than again a clean install...

I mean, if I scan the Movies etc. than every time...

I ask, just to be sure, to understand it correct, thank you.

To ensure that boxee runs properly, it's a good idea to do a clean install of boxee.

I understand that may be frustrating, since boxee stores a lot of personal data (user name, password, movies you've watched, etc)...

You're welcome to try Boxee without deleting your UserData folder, but if you experience problems, you should consider doing a clean-install and trying again.

Yeah, because it's beta still, this just goes with the territory.

It guarantees a clean install and any issues are not the result of an old user-data config folder. ;) And helps us to not have to chase bugs created by that. :D

When uninstalling Beta, there is a check box to uninstall or not the user data. But beware...
