can't log in to Boxee via beta w/ known good account?

Using the current beta on a macbook.

Launches fine. Can't log in. Doesn't give an error message, just doesn't log in.

I deleted the user and tried to recreate it. Same thing.

I have confirmed the username & pwd by logging in to boxee.tv and by logging in to another mac running an alpha version of boxee.

Ideas?

Well, not another user account, but I deleted the account and recreated it. Same thing.

Yes. Exactly the same.

I have also restarted boxee several times. And restarted the mac.

Did you previously have the Alpha installed on this machine? Was it COMPLETELY removed before you installed the Beta? I seem to recall reading of other users with a similar issue to this that had some old Alpha file artifacts in place screwing with the new Beta files...

well, the odd thing is that it was all working great until today. That's since the first weekend the beta has been available.

It isn't a connectivity issue either.

But yes, I did have several versions of the alpha installed.

Well, for no good reason, no changes since last night, Boxee is spontaneously working now.
