I have an IR receiver. Is there a code to program the comcast remote AUX so that it will control boxee?

There's two programs that I'm aware of that will allow you to do this...

Girder (not free, unless you can find an older version)
EventGhost

Our program Intelliremote (http://www.intelliremote.com) is another competitor to Girder and EventGhost.

The not so simple answer is WHICH IR receiver to you own? IR Receivers all receive different IR Frequencies. the MCE IR Dongle only can listen on RC6 protocol where a lot of Philips receivers listen on RC5 protocol.

If you want to use your Comcast remote you can get a USB-UIRT (http://www.usbuirt.com/) and in conjuction with Intelliremote you can use your Comcast remote to control Boxee.

Do me a favor. download this program and press buttons on your remote. Do you get any "MCE String" hex code output in the bottom window?

This will tell me whether your remote can be worked with any of these programs. If you do get MCE String output read me the VID and PID's at the top of the window.
