I don't know what i'm doing wrong here but my movies/DVD's are not being
scanned by Boxee at all.

When i check the log i get entries like;

10:59:48 T:2958966784 M:264777728 WARNING: CUtil::GetMatchingSource... no matching source found for [/Volumes/LaCie/MOVIES/Rip/War.of.the.Worlds.(2005).dvdmedia/VIDEO_TS/]

Checked the naming convention thread on the forum here, so i suspect the
naming is correct.

DVD's have been ripped with RipIt

Does Boxee have problems with the .dvdmedia extenion?

somewhat later in the log i see;

11:00:48 T:2976399360 M:270274560 DEBUG: CSettings::IsPathOnSource, path = /Volumes/LaCie/MOVIES/Rip/War.of.the.Worlds.(2005).dvdmedia/VIDEO_TS/ (checkpath)

Okay the lines in Bold says enough i'dd guess. What is going wrong here, did
i do something utterly stupid?

Part of logfile also as text attachment, as the URL's in the logfile are getting
parsed by good'oll vBulletin :)

Removed everything under ~/Library/Application Support/BOXEE and restarted.

Copied some movies to a folder called ~/Media

But still no luck, always the same messages as in my first post.

Has anybody an idea what i'm doing wrong here.

Nobody knows what the problem is ... or am i too stupid to understand.

Anyone more experienced with Boxee care to help me? Certainly didn't have
those problems with the Alpha version.

Even on a completely fresh installation this uhhh application doesn't work.

For now i compare Boxee with a Red Ferrari; great to look at (GUI) but without
seats, steering wheel or even more important an engine. Great to look at that
very nice Red Ferrari but you can do diddly squat with it

If even the simplest of things doesn't work, getting access to your media, then
what is the use :(

Very disappointed

Well, I'm not a mac user but here is a few things to consider.

First, are you using Beta? If so there is a dedicated Beta thread for all OS to post questions in. "Boxee Beta Issues"

Second, there are a ton of repeat threads regarding issues with Indexing movies, music ets with the current Boxee build.

Third, there are several repeat threads on on how boxee does not play TS vob files but will play ISO's.

Lastly, there are also issues with movies being recognized correctly by boxee once it has been indexed. Check my sig for First Stop and read through that info on naming and then submitting stubborn vids that will not index with correct name and pic....or not index at all.

Poke around in the Beta section and do some searching too. ;) Hope this gets you going in the right direction.
