First of all thanks for doing a great product here. I must say it worked great on my laptop, but im experencing some issues on my HTPC.

Whenever I try to playback something from a streaming online (ie youtube) I get the middle dots of processing, and then it returns me to the screen where I selected the video, with no audio/video being played back.

Ive tried deinstalling boxee, deleteing all the profile files, removed flash player and reinstalled 10.1, checked i had latest firefox, dx 11, move network plugin.

So in summary:

OS: Vista 32bit
CPU: Intel Q6600
Memory: 2GB DDR
Video Card: Nvida Geforce 9400
Boxee Build: 10261
Firefox: 3.5.7
Flash: 10.1 beta2
Graphics driver: 195.62 (latest m$ certified)

Heres a copy of my boxee log (in this i tried to load the Get Started video of boxee)

Any idea what I could have wrong??

Thanks :D

I would still UPDATE directX anyway and be sure to install Adobe Flash beta 10.1, Silverlight and the Move Networks add ins. Youtube uses Flash and should work for you.
Also, update your video drivers. And Flash may be laggy if your video card does not support GPU acceleration.

Please see the First Stop link in my signature. I posted a huge section there on all the needed add ins, plug ins and drivers needed.

If that still does not fix it, there are some Nvidia issues that have been fixed for the next build release due out very shortly.

Yeah I already did followed the sticky, reinstalled everything that is stated on the sticky and it still doing it.. the video card is update too with latest nvidia. Well guess my htpc will be out of luck till the next beta to see if it fixes the playback issue :(

Your nvidia 195.62 is for Flash 1p not 2p, but it is mostly the same except for some tweeks to make it more compatible with each other. ;)

The last thing I could suggest is rolling back to Flash 1p. But your vid card is GPU acceleration compatible. I would think you'd get some playback...but not nothing. Need to roll back to Flash 10.1 1p for ION? Get it here (http://www.pauljroberts.com/flash-beta-10-1-1p-files-for-revo-ion) at my blog.

I have no other suggestions for you at this time...

I assume you have NO video playback at all? No flash, no DX, no Netflix (silverlight)?

Hi there!
I'm having the same problem I guess.. The thing is, I click the playbutton, the "preloader" is displayed, but after a second or two, it's back to the menu-screen... The video does not start.
But the same file is being played in both MediaPlayer, and in my XBMC - on the very same computer! AND, it's only a few files that won't play, it's not all.. and I can't see to see any connection, or particular difference betwwen the files that play, and those who don't... Any Ideas are most welcome...

And, other than the problems mentioned above, Boxee is WONDERFUL.. Get Sporify in there as well, and it would be just excellent! :)
