Apple remote works but...

Front Row pops up when I hit menu and iTunes plays when I hit play. Is there a way to disable these other functions? It is very annoying when I am trying to use Boxee :(

if on 10.6.2, then after installing candelair ir drivers you will need to enable legacy leopard mode in preferences pane

also, have you checked the following setting Settings > System > Apple Remote > Always Running ? This overrides the pressing of the menu button in OSX to startup Boxee rather than frontrow
