Are you using an admin account? Have you tried saving it then running it, instead of just running it?

Yes, I have tried saving it to the desktop and it is not there.

This doesn't sound like a Boxee issue as much as an issue with your browser or your system. What browser are you using? Are you certain the file path when you saved it was to the desktop and not somewhere else? Is it possible your antivirus could be interfering with the download, i.e. preventing it from saving while it scans the download?

Okay, I will try checking with my antivirus program and I am using IE. Would I have better luck if I went thru firefox?

It honestly shouldn't make a difference, but just for the purposes of troubleshooting the issue, it might be worth it to try an alternative browser like Firefox.

Are you sure you are downloading the right installation package and not one of the Linux or Mac builds? If you are downloading the right package, then something is definitely corrupting the download. My first suspect would be your anti-virus or other protection software you might be running. What are you running for anti-virus/anti-spyware/personal firewall?
