I'm wondering if I have a 7.1 trueHD sound file and convert this to FLAC, how does Boxee handle this on a laptop through headphones? I'm assuming it would downmix it to 2.0, yes?
My more complicated quesiton is, what does Boxee do if I decide to use the FLAC file over spdif? Will Boxee take the FLAC 7.1 and downmix it and encode it to 5.1 AC3? Maybe the file won't play at all? Or maybe It'll play in AC3 5.1 but throw out two channels?
