Boxee VERY slow?

I had .10063 and everything was fine. Downloaded .10261 and the search is SLOW in TV Shows. Could this be because Boxee beta is now out and hammering their servers? Does the search go through boxee servers in anyway? I did a search and it came up with nothing? Thoughts?

I even put 10063 back on and I'm having the same issue?

Yes, search does go throgh the boxee servers to find the shows. And it is hot tonight!

Aslo, with a fresh install and set up of boxee....did you add some SMB shares to be indexed? If so, that can lag boxee while the indexing is taking place. SHows may take longer to search, vids may even stop playing.

Let it index for a while, restart Boxee and see if that smooths things out.

However I did get some crashing with the latest beta while attempting to load the home screen right at launch. I guess it pulls the data for the home screen from the servers as well.

Home screen links, yes they go through the servers.

Not saying that this is supposed to happen...it definatley is not. This release seems to have some crash issues upon first set up. But I've seen similar crashes with past betas.

I've found indexing is the biggest cause. Again, no excuses, but at least what I've found in Beta that may help you get through. ;)

Both issues seems to have cleared up. I think the 7th really hammered the servers hard as Boxee has been getting so much positive press with everything from CES. But Boxee is running as it should again. Thanks!
