Hi
Im having trouble connecting too my iMac over wifi.
It doesnt find it trough the add networks sources part, alltough boxee finds other computers.
I know my iMac is connected too the LAN because i can VNC too it from my laptop. I have tripple checked that file sharing is checked under system settings.
Any ideas on what to try?

I had a similar issue. My wireless router is from D-Link and I had to go into it's network settings and enable some network discovery broadcasts (not SSID broadcasts).
Once I did this, I found it fine.
Otherwise, you can add it manually by specifying the IP address.

Ive tried adding the ip manually, i get the no files where found error.
Ive got an airport extreme, it doesnt seem to have the discover broadcasts function :-/

Try following directions from this post. Describes XBMC method which has differences in menus, but still similar.

Check out this video tutorial I created:

This shows you how to share files from your Mac. I'm almost finished my next tutorial which will be to create a network media source in Boxee and connect to the share you just created.
I might recreate the first one and include a check for software firewall settings (though Mac OS X 10.5.5 automatically allows file sharing through the firewall).
