As the thread title says—pretty major bug for a media centre app, I’m afraid.

I’m in the UK, so Region 2 DVDs. Bought, rented, or DVD-R … none of them are being recognised by Boxee on my Intel Mac Mini.

I can navigate to them by browsing sources, but pressing play on the Video_TS folder just results in a black screen and freeze-up. Force quitting is the only way out.

I'm in Canada. I've been playing local and remote ISO images and VIDEO_TS folders with Boxee.

Where are the files located?

I don’t have any problem playing from Video_TS files on the hard drives - the problem is trying to play from original DVD discs. As in movie discs bought or rented.

Put the DVD in the drive, and Boxee can’t play it. I have to force quit and use Front Row instead.

Has the team had any luck with this? Has anyone else had the same issue?

Once I can play original DVD discs in Boxee, I can get rid of Front Row …
