Hey, i've read through the remote issue posts, i have a macbook pro (5.5) running snow leopard, running the latest boxee beta,
i tried using boxee without calendair installed (no remote response),
with calendair installed (legacy mode on and off) i get control over my mac (volume, itunes...) and no interaction with boxee,

on plex and xmbc the remote works just fine, so this is a boxee issue,

any help would be appreciated,

Thanks !!!

In candelair, is the button for Leopard compatibility mode checked? Try checking it if you have not done so and see if that works.

At this point, I would try going into the Boxee settings and click on system settings/apple remote. I would try clicking the different options of disabling and re-enabling remote and the always on feature and restarting boxee to see if you can get any different results.

Hopefully that resets things. If not, It would seem you have some other system conflict in the computer.

the thing is xbmc works with the remote just fine with and without calendair,

it seems like calendair is taking over the remote control and while in boxee, clicking on the apple remote works like there is no boxee running,

meaning - volume change -> mac system volume get's adjusted
play button -> start itunes
etc...

for some reason boxee isn't claiming the remote for itself
i tried changing the 'always on' option, and the remote settings,
and i can't think of a program that causes boxee to conflict (i closed all running apps)..

strange..
