Is the lcdproc suppose to be working in Boxee-Beta Linux?
I'm running Jaunty r10069.

When I enable it my LCD goes dim and I get in the debug logs:
ERROR: Unable to load LCD skin file special://masterprofile/LCD.xml

I haven't seen any ticket issue for it yet, but since I'm running a special version of lcdproc, I wasn't sure if it is just me.

Didn't even know it was an option in the alpha version, so I guess, I don't know. When going through the menu system of the beta is the first time I've seen it as an option to enable.

Same problem here on Fedora 12.

ERROR: Unable to load LCD skin file special://masterprofile/LCD.xml and nothing on the LCD.

So my question is, for anyone who has this working, do you have a LCD.xml file and if you do, what is in it?

Being as Boxee is powered by XBMC, the following might help us out.

http://xbmc.org/wiki/?title=LCD.xml

I'm not at my media PC at the moment, but will try playing around with this later.

Yep, that did it.
(FYI: For those unfamiliar the actual LCD.xml file is at: http://xbmc.org/trac/browser/trunk/userdata/LCD.xml. There is a download link at the bottom of that page to download the XML file)

I don't know if that's the exact LCD display text that I want, but it works! I'm going to file a bug report on this as that's a file that should be included by default.

Bug report has been filed. Not the cleanest write up, but should get the point across.

Also, if someone comes up with a better version of the LCD.xml file designed more specifically for Boxee, feel free to post.
