Blank/Messed up Video

I'm currently running the Mac build r10063 on a brand new Mac Mini hooked up to a Samsung 50" DLP TV (running a nonstandard resolution) via DVI->HDMI cable.

Whenever I play videos in Boxee, the second video I play (no matter whether it's a streaming app or local file for the first or second video) does not show up on the screen, but the Boxee controls show up and the sound works fine. This problem also occured with the old r9816 revision as well.

Sometimes the screen will be completely black, and sometimes there will be a very small messed-up looking video overlay taking up the bottom left corner of the screen (maybe taking about 5% of the screen).

No idea what's causing this... any idea what's causing this problem? I never had this problem with any of the Boxee alpha builds.

Just an update.... now no videos work in Boxee. I either have a blank screen and audio, or the video looks scrambled or only takes up the bottom left 1/16 of the screen. I've tried with xvid/divx videos, or other movie files, and nothing.

Has anyone else encountered this issue? I'm going to try resetting the video settings to defaults, but I doubt that will fix it.

Hi,

First thing you should do is install the most recent Boxee Beta Build - 10063. Then repost to let us know if that fixed it.

I am running the latest boxee build. I stated in my first message that I had this problem with both 9816 and 10063 on a mac mini.

did you do an update from Alpha or a fresh install..Please try renaming the UserData and try again also please post your boxee logs..

Renaming my UserData seems to have fixed the problem. This should be added to the install instructions for the beta. Any idea why this occurred? I'm guessing some sort of offending video setting?

How do I rename my UserData?
