View Full Version : Recognising multi-part videos

Using the alpha videos were recognised that had multi-parts, but not on the beta.
I use e.g.
Name_Of_Movie_CD1(Year).avi
Name_Of_Movie_CD2(Year).avi
Name_Of_Movie_CD3(Year).avi
Is there a fix for this or should I name the videos differently?

This thread suggests a slightly different naming scheme

I don't have any movies that are multiple parts but I do have a mini-series that is 6 "parts" which Boxee has IDed as a movie and not a TV series and it finds all the parts but indeed doesn't unite the series instead makes all parts available when I choose the series from the movie section. Which might suggest stacking might not be fully enabled in the closed beta.

Pretty sure it was mentioned in the sticky before the posts got deleted and the google form went into effect but I just submitted as per your suggestion. I've been trying to accumulate a list of what's missing and unresolvable before I submitted to the google docs.

Just installed on another computer and all appears to be working fine, except I think a . is being treated as a separator by boxee when it is part of the name of a movie. It won't recognise that one of my videos.
