My music folder is quite large, 12k or so files, when I added it to Boxee, maybe 5% of it was added to the music folder (yet all of it was browse-able when manually going to the source in boxee). I removed and re-added the source too and its not adding any more of the files.
The source is a network source and the files that did appear in boxee seem to be random (not the first 5% of files).

Boxee takes a long time to index the files. so just let it run and it will index 'em.

It was indexing them quick enough, and just stopped at the one point and hasn't done anything for a week.

did it quit on a given letter, or is it missing some bands/albums, at random?

sometimes erasing the library helps ..settings >general >erase library this will force boxee to start re-indexing from scratch(you might need to do it acouple of times)..if it does not help please send me examples of the music that is not being indexed..

It seems to be random, it only indexed about... 100 or so artists out of 800ish. I'll check if it got all the songs for each of the artists that it did do in a little bit.

Will do.

I'm having a similar problem. I have about 490 albums on a NAS, and boxee has only picked up about 30, it seems to have stopped at the letter C. Also, I had one album the was identified incorrectly and when I went to change it, I was instructed to type the name of the album and artist and separate them with a comma, but the on screen keyboard didn't have a comma.

Same issue here. The boxee choked on Peaches. The only artist that has been indexed in 24 hours.
I think Peaches would like knowing that. hehe

same here, only 62 of 148 albums showed up all randomly
and 63 movies out of 98 are showing.
they are all on a windows networkdrive (smbshare)
going to try and erase the library for the second time ( :( don't like doing that, takes to long to index)
maybee it would be nice to have a library for each genre (movies/music/...)
that way you could erase for example only the music library.
what i find strange, is that the first time (before i erased the first time)
that the thumbnails in "/home/bulldog/.boxee/UserData/profiles/bulldog/Thumbnails" where not in the right place, i had moviethumbs in the music folder and vice-verca.
When i look at it know they are in the correct place.
and there are 91 files in there (when i have a 148 albums and 62 showing in boxee)
