View Full Version : Erasing library does not clear cache of "recently used"

I successfully used the "erase library" function in settings to clear my Boxee library and start re-indexing my media. However, the "recently used" section on my welcome screen still shows information.

Is it possible to delete the recently used cache of activity?

you can select the recently used item and then select remove..:)

also, to delete everthing you can delete:
UserData/profiles/[profile]/itemshistory.dmp

maybe there should be an option under 'erase library' called 'erase history' that deletes itemshistory.dmp?

how do you do this in apple tv? I want to delete my cache of recently used? I don't see a remove option?

there isn't a 'clear history' option, yet.

if you select the item you want to remove, it will offer a button that says 'remove'.

Would it be possible to actually just hide the recently used bar at the bottom of the screen? I don't like it and it's visually cluttered to me. An option to pick and choose what goes in the bars would be great. I'd love to just have my library from my NAS on there as a bar, then one for music etc... (rather than my recently played / or friends etc).

I don't see this file on my macbook. Where could I find it and will that clear history on the web as well?

you can remove each item by selecting it, then selecting the 'remove' option.

-or-

you can delete your entire history by deleting:
<boxee-config> (http://forum.boxee.tv/showthread.php?t=3962)/UsedData/profiles/[profile-name]/itemshistory.dmp

Thanks, it worked. On my Macbook the finder search wouldn't find itemshistory.dmp for some reason.

I've tried to remove the itemshistory.dmp file, but it does not clear the history...

Lets be clear here - we are all talking about the same thing: adult content.

i must admit there is a flaw here - if you mark a shared folder as private then the results should not show in the history.

there should be an option to not show adult content in history.

all of this as well as a simple clear history button.
