Hi,

I have some ideas for different ways of viewing videos (at least for the movie section, but should work in the TV shows section as well):
1. Basic search ability to narrow down the list
2. Since information is found on each movie, the search could also include things like the genre of the movies, actors, directors, years etc. This would allow me to search for ... "action" if I felt like an action movie and it would pull up all the movies with action in the genre or the same could be done with actors etc.
3. Would like it if boxee remembered the sorting/view that I left it on last time for movies/tv shows. It can be frustrating to go through the list, look at info on a movie and go back to the list to have it sorted/viewed in a different way.

(As an aside, you gave me an idea, I'd love to be able to go Movie > Actors > Movies with actor in. Basically imdb.)

+10... i would love this option!

maybe a universal (ie: content agnostic) search would be even better.

i would love to search for 'placebo' and see all their music, videos, and the pictures i have from shows.

What about even building in a constantly updating index of all TV shows boxee is able to access (without custom shows/podcasts) so that you don't have to search ABC, CBS, HULU, etc to find the exact show you are looking for?

Would like to have a global search over all services (easy) and all community content (probably more difficult). I want to see if movie "ABC" is available on some service or someones shared media.

it would fit perfectly under view and sort cuz thats where ppl go first when they search something

Think about the bandwidth usage this could cause to those that are limited... Don't get me wrong wonderfucl idea... Just add in a switch to turn it off...
