Mangled graphics and icons in Snow Leopard

On my Mac (quad core 2.66 Ghz, Nvidia GT 7300, 9GB Ram) I'm seeing a lot of mangled and pixelated icons, like playback buttons in playback screens and parts of the skin itself. I'm tried playing with graphic settings inside the beta as well as on my system, but to no avail.

this is the latest version? if you toggle to window mode is it still happening?

Yes, I'm running the latest beta build. Windowed or full screen makes no difference.
