Boxee Beta - Feedback

Hey, I'm a bit confused on the agreement for the Boxee Beta. It says we can not disclose any information about it. Does this mean I can not talk (Post here in the forum) about the problems or suggestions I have for this current beta?

Please let me know. I have many suggestions for improvement and am still hitting a few weird bug problems.

Overall, OUTSTANDING WORK. I am loving what I see so far.

Take a look around, there are a few few forums open discussing bugs and such, We cannot disclose a lot, and we can't host screens or give away the software. However, a few of us have listed some "suggestions" and praise, so find those and have it it :) You may also directly PM a mod for help or suggestions.

I bugged Marcel about the that, when I found out. I think you're fine to talk about it, as he gave us express permission to publicly discuss the Beta.

I will try to get an official word on the issues.

How about you guys make a specific Beta forum section so we don't start intermixing the two versions and confuse everyone? If we're allowed to talk about it and help each other out, that'd make it a lot easier to do so.

I actually think Marcel likes dinosaur comics which is the reason why he doesn't want any more forums. That's my theory and I'm sticking to it.

The problem with more forums is that once you create one, it's hard to move away from it. (Unless of course you wave the magic wand that literally does move all threads to a different forum area).

Or, just have one until a certain date, like say in January when it is released? If not, then this cycle of threads will continue being all over the place.

Yes, it is in the mod forums. Not hard to find, as the title includes the words 'forum' and 'dinosaur'.

Was wondering -- anyway to get "visualizations" while the last.fm app is playing music? I tried playing around with the music settings but that didn't seem to do me any good. My screen eventually just went pitch black after the idle time. Not my first choice :)

Visualizations are broken in the current beta build. Known issue and should be fixed in an upcoming build. :)

I'm assuming that more beta invites will happen over the next few weeks; I got one and was previously a late alpha tester for windows...

Several factors went into who got in Beta first. Early Alpha testers, regular posters on the forum, NY Boxee envent attendies, and those that signed up for the beta. Don't quote me on the order...;)

That's great news, just wondering, has anyone tested the boxee beta with the ipod touch boxee remote ? i'm guessing it would still work the same way, but who knows right ?
