Video Distortion

Hi All,

Having some difficulty with getting the video to play properly. I know my hardware isn't in this supported hardware but I was hoping this may be a known issue with a fix.

This is what it looks like for all videos (even some of the internet streaming ones):

I'm running on Ubuntu 8.04, ATI X1250 video card using the proprietary drivers.

Fiddling with all combinations of the video settings in Boxee hasn't helped at all.

please try this:
create the following file:
~/.boxee/UserData/advancedsettings.xml

and paste this in it:

<advancedsettings>
<glrectanglehack>yes</glrectanglehack>
</advancedsettings>

restart the client and please let me know if it works :)

I got the same thing at first and was able to find the solution after browsing the forum for awhile can we make this a sticky?
