No Volume Control

I have no volume control once in boxee using Ubuntu 8.10 on a Acer 5920 Laptop

i have to completely exit boxee to adjust my volume.

Thnx but its On all media , simply no audio control once in boxee

by assigning keys for my audio instead of the volume wheel i can see the volume bar increase and decrease but it doesnt actually change the volume level.

does the "+ or -" keys do anything check the keymap.xml and see where the volume is mapped..

no go on the + or -

If i set my keys to match boxee in keymap.xml i can see the volume bar as if its working but no change in actual sound

If i set keymap.xml to match my default keys i dont see the volume bar and if i try to adjust the volume it will crash boxee with the sound stuttering
