Sorry I love this product and I know that the admins here read stuff so I thought I would just post a bit about my experience. I review a lot of alpha and beta video games so ill present it like I do for those.
* Installation on the USB drive was super easy, getting it to install on my AppleTV was super easy.
* I had the documented issue with the videos not showing up and needed to SSH into it and wipe the profile, please note in the tutorial that people can use nano to edit a file on the AppleTV. However all this would be solved with a remove profile setting somewhere.
* Once installed I got all the updates, but the updates don't disappear after you update, maybe some simple notice like you are all up to date and still leaving the updates is best.
* Boxee environment is nice. though it seems necessary to put what most people use it for more promontory in the environment. The internet channels should be near the first page, not 5-6 clicks in. I think that most people are using it for this as their personal media is mostly shared via the AppleTV client.
* When clicking play its annoying to have a popup asking if you want to play, you can just have it play right away and have the menu open, they can get the popup there. The menu should also have a delayed fade out so that after 10 seconds it goes away.
* Video playback isn't so hot. I know that AppleTV can playback h.264 and that Flash video is similar, right? I think what is happening is there are a lot of dropped frames.
* Option to select best video quality (hulu allows for 480p playback)
* Search functionality within an internet channel.
* Set series favorite to appear on home screen (If you have this already I'm sorry)
I think that's it for now. I love this software I love what you guys are doing. I am not complaining and I will still love it as I do now. You may already know about some of these but I just thought I would pass along my observations.
