I am just trying to link up to a Network Drive in Boxee on my laptop and it can't seem to find the Network Drive that is running? I have a laptop and all the Boxee media is on a drive on my desktop so I just want to link to that storage shouldn't this be easy to do?
I keep getting an Error 2 Share not available error...
any help would be appreciated.
My goal is to have Boxee be able to link up to this drive when I am travelling so I can have access to all my shows and movies while on the road.
Can this happen here or not?
TIA

There is a lot of factors here that you have not explained?
First is do you have a static IP address to link to while on the road? Are you already connecting to your other files and such when on the road?
Second is the bandwidth you are paying for. Most Cable and DSL packages include a fast download speed, but uploading is WAY SLOWER. If you are trying to upload movies and shows from this connection, you are most likely going to get stuttering. You're best bet would be to download most of the video to your Finder/Hard Drive and then watch the show through VLC or something.

Yes I do.

I can connect to my server no problem but wanted Boxee to basically be the exact same on 2 machines...so what gets updated on the main server gets updated on my laptop for the road so I can access all my media anywhere.
I don't have to worry about bandwith I'm good on that one so just want to get this working somehow that would be awesome! Hopefully someone or yourself has a solution
Thanks for helping.
