Slow scrolling with iPhone remote

When scrolling through a large list (which I have to do as for some reason Boxee indexes multiple copies of each file so I just use browse) scrolling seems slow, or jerky depending on whether I'm using the touch or button interface... is it just me, because the Apple remote works fine...

Apple TV
Current versions of everything
Time Capsule network (2.4ghz, N - b/g compatible)
Movies stored on a 1TB external HD
Only devices on the network are my MBP, Apple TV, and iPhone

Jerkiness happens even when my laptop is off and I'm not streaming anything, so it's not just traffic slowing stuff down.

Not just that, but scrolling just takes forever with long lists anyway.

XBMC had a nice workaround.. hit right, and you'll get to a scrollbar that would allow you to page up and down. Would be an awesome feature to have and make the iPhone remote *exceptionally* awesome rather than just awesomesauce :P
