Apple specifically exports the iTunes XML for external applications to take advantage of. It contains track data such as artist, album, track number, track name, etc etc.
I would like to see Boxee leverage this resource, as a source. Reading this file it could instantly see all the music, tv shows, movies, etc that is all stored your system. This is how early versions of FrontRow did it.
