First Question:
I am trying to get my Boxee Account to be identical on 2 different Mac Computers can this happen? Say I make changes or add an app on one mac can it sync up when I launch Boxee on another Mac so I don't have to keep going back and forth doing the same task on all my machines.

Second Question:
Is there anyway to use the actually Boxee app on the iPhone? I would like to setup to view through my phone to a television with the proper dock connector component cable apple provides. It would be great if there was a way to get all my Boxee settings and account on my phone.

Third Question:
Are there any apps already out there or in progress to allow something similar to Hulu but for say TLC, BRAVO, VH-1, Discovery...to possibly watch all the current show lineups from those channels? I assume there isn't one but just checking..

Thanks for any answers provided.

bummer. any chance of any of these options coming to life in the near future. They all seem very reasonable.

I haven't tested this but for yoru first question it "might" be possible.

1. On your "master" machine share out the ~Library/Applicaiotn SUpprot/Boxee folder via AFP or SMB
2. On your client computer install boxee and replace the application support folder with asymbolic link to the network share you created in the first step.

I have not tested this at all, but it might work.

Thanks for your help..I am not sure how to do this but am willing to try..I understand how to get to the folder but how do I setup a folder via "AFP" or "SMB" and also in step 2 how do I setup an "asymbolic link to the network share" Sorry. I am just not familiar with these terms but would love to get this working.

Thanks

I was just thinking about this myself.

My solution would be to use the service DropBox (www.getdropbox.com) to actually dynamically sync the files necessarily to have all of the same content between 2 machines.

Crazy enough I think it would be easier on a Mac than on a PC. All you would have to do is find all the config files that would have to be changed and set up a symbolic link to your dropbox directory. In theory, this should work. As soon as I locate these files in linux and windows I'll test it out.

If you figure anything out let me know and I would be happy to try something. I can't believe no one else has any desire to do this? Well here's hoping for the best.

Thanks

I hear ya. I was hoping I wasn't the only guy that has 6 computers on his network hahaha.

Here's the only problem I'm running into right now. Cross platform compatibility. I'm pretty sure I can get this to work between like systems. Unfortunately I don't have any like systems. I have a Windows 7 box, Ubuntu linux, and XP in virtual machines. I guess I'll have to install XP into a physical box to continue testing since VMWare ESXi doesn't support full OpenGL acceleration.

Even though I don't have a Mac Client, I'll see what I can dig up to help you too.

wow..yeah I just have a couple macs...I would think the developers would have interest in implementing or helping with this feature. Anyways I hope you come up with something. I'll chat with you soon then.

Thanks
