Thanks to all the people who have made Boxee so great. What a great application!! I can't wait to see where development goes.
I have a Dell X50V running WM2003SE that I want to use as an IR remote control to my IBM T43's built-in IR port. I have Ubuntu 9.04 installed with Boxee and everything is running smoothly. Has anyone else used the NoviiRemote Deluxe (http://www.novii.tv/pocketpc/deluxe/) software on a PPC as a remote to Boxee? If so, please share some pointers. What codebase did you use in Novii? I've searched Google, Novii forums and Boxee forums but have not found anyone who has do this yet. I'll start trying things tonight and will post results as I get them.
I've browsed Boxee forums several times so I think I know how to proceed. I know I need lirc and lirc-x in Ubuntu based on this (http://forum.boxee.tv/showthread.php?t=11278).
Again thanks to all of you who have given so much to the Boxee community and helped me get to this point.
EDIT: The Dell X50V uses Consumer Infrared (CIR) while the IBM T43 uses Infrared Data Acquisition (IrDA). Ergo, I will need a plan B.
