Hi..
I do not want to see what my friends are watching on the main screen.. neither recently added and recent activity..
Do you know how to get rid of those functions?

unfortunately, what you are requesting is to disable the core functions of boxee.
now, if you don't want to see what friends are up to, you can just remove all your friends. but that will just leave 'friends activity' and 'recommendations' empty. :(
you could also set all your sources to 'private', but that will stop boxee from finding metadata to associate with said media. :(
without sounding dismissive or mean, boxee may not be the right fit for you... have you checked out xbmc? xbmc is the application/framework that boxee is based on, but without the social aspects:
www.xbmc.org
the down side is that xbmc does not support flash-based-streaming content. (ie: hulu, cc, cbs, etc)
sorry i don't have a better alternative, but these features are (more-or-less) the 'heart of boxee'.

Honestly for me the main draws of Boxee are a very attractive interface (which xbmc has yet to match in ease of use) and the fact that my library is sorted by movie/tv shows as well as having season info scraped.
Honestly if there was an option to disable the social part of boxee and the streaming video, I would love for that.
I like being able to catalog dvd's and have it all stored in a way that is like **the best** ever dvr created. However, when I try to imagine why I'd want my viewing habits linked in with complete strangers or even my friends, that just seems.... weird.
The first time I used boxee 9.21b instead of the 9.14 alpha, I was upset because I thought there was no way to JUST view local content, and that there would be Hulu feeds cramming themselves into seasons that weren't on my computer which would have been extremely distracting. In the first few minutes before discovering the 'My Tv Shows' button I even considered how I might block all access to hulu in a way that wouldn't break boxee's login process.
I understand that for a htpc, xbmc/wmc/frontrow are purpose built for what I want to accomplish, but boxee is so much more polished that I can hand over the remote to somebody who has never used it and they think it's just a really really nice dvr of some sort. xbmc reeks of it's computer origins and seems not too far off from simply using a mouse and keyboard to find media in a file browser.
A simple 'disable feeds and streams' button would be perfect and much appreciated by people like myself.
