Please make so that what Boxee feeds Twitter (or FriendFeed, or Tumblr, etc.) when one recommends a specific TV Show add a "(TV Show)" within parenthes so the recommendation is not too easily confused with a movie recommendation.

Please also add the direkt URL to the TheTVDB.com page for that specific TV Show as well.

So, currently as it is today Boxee only sends "recommends Code Monkeys" (where Code Monkeys is the TV Show I recommended), but I think that it would be nicer if it instead said something like "recommend Code Monkeys (TV Show) on BOXEE, check it out at http://www.thetvdb.com/?tab=series&id=80287".

What do you guys think? :)

i have to think about thit one.

in general i can understand the problem, the thing is that usually those service can only use short lines, and in some cases adding a (TV Show) can cut some of the text.

more than that, sometimes that can also be a bit techincal. i dont think we really need people who read this line to identify the media item exactly, its a teaser.

IMHO if you can already fit
"recommended Rnb on lastfm using BOXEE. tune in at http://www.last.fm/listen/globaltags/rnb" for music
and
"recommended What Happens in Vegas on BOXEE. check it out at http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1033643" for movies today then I think that you can fit in
"recommend Code Monkeys (TV Show) on BOXEE, check it out at http://www.thetvdb.com/?tab=series&id=80287" for TV Shows

@gs17 - idan means in the boxee UI, not the exported description. under the boxee UI there is no url, no "on BOXEE". its the shortest description we can.

i'm willing to conceed though that we do have "yadda yadda (Trailer)", however, that to is exposed only when recommended.

i see the benefit of what you're suggesting, we need to thing about it.

ah you misunderstod, as I wrote I were actually talking about the exported description that Boxee feeds to Twitter, tumblr, and FriendFeed which is displayed on their websites, (not with is displayed within the Boxee GUI itself).

...buy yeah I agree now that since Boxee shows "(Trailer)" in the Boxee home screen GUI for recommendations then it would be nice if it also displayed "(TV Show)" for TV Shows.
