Hi all.

I have an apple tv running boxee (all latest versions) on a 46inch samsung 1080p tv via hdmi.

the boxee GUI fills the screen and looks right, but whenever I play a video it is "hyper letterboxed" with an image in the vertical center squished.

If I hit menu, I can change the video settings to "stretch" for THAT VIDEO and it looks ok

but I'm trying to find a "GLOBAL" setting for this attribute. Under "video" global settings, I just get 2 options and neither relates to image size

any ideas? I'd love for other people in my house to be able to use this, but having to set the aspect for each video is a dealbreaker.

thanks!

I'm looking for an answer to the same issue. Can't find it yet. Have you resolved it?

cheers,

Similar issue here. My problem is that when boxee starts up, it resets my resolution on my big screen to a lower resolution.

I wouldn't care if it was a temporary thing, but it doesn't return to my "correct" resolution upon exiting the app.

Once you set it the way you want, scroll further down to were it says set as default. I think that's what you're looking for.
