Am i the only one who doesnt want to keep browsing around to every podcast and keep clicking thru to the next. I want to see a que or playlist that i can click thru a couple of shows and add to my que then just click the que and hit play all.

Anybody else think this is a good idea?

welcome to boxee, sdiddy407!

this has been requested many times (no less than 10 in the last five days)... i have a good feeling it's on the feature list. :)

it is on the feature list. right now the experience is really crippled. we need to improve it. no doubt. subscriptions, auto-download, queue, related items.... lots of work on this front

you mean a queue, right?

Love the idea.

Avner, related items, can we manually relate items? will there be a plug-in architechture for determining related items?

I've mentioned before about wanting to relate TRS episodes to movies/tv shows using the wikipedia page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_The_Totally_Rad_Show_Episodes.

http://forum.boxee.tv/showthread.php?t=817

Looking at the XBMC plugin architechture it'll be a nightmare as it looks like I have to create the UI for it myself. All i want to do is take the episode name and spit out a list of movie titles, and visa versa.

Thanks

I second (third, fourth?) the queue.

I'd like to be able to create playlists of video content, similar to a music playlist, so that video clips from any source can play one after the other.

I'd really like to be able to create music video playlists, so I can just bookmark videos on YouTube or elsewhere and play them all the way through, or random shuffle, etc.

yes please do auto-downloading!! and not just for the public torrent stuff. that stuff is cool but I'm really looking to replace Miro as my one-stop shop for all my podcasts because it does not also organize music and pictures. however, the organization and playback of podcasts that it handles has gone heretofore unrivaled. I hope you guys are up for the challenge to dethrone them and become my new favorite application!!

we should enable you to create such a plug-in. i think it could be made very simple. we'll try to make it easier in time for the beta release.

but idan may reach out to you before to help you write such a plug-in

Just started using boxee and working through my wish list...so does this queuing function including adding music tracks to a "now playing" queue? Right now it seems limited to playing one song, one album, etc.

The ability to turn the now playing queue into a playlist would also be useful. I use this frequently in XBMC.
