I like that i can see my frequently watched shows, but i would rather see the shows that i flag as my favorite. That way when a new episode is posted on same channel by same author I can see it. :D

+1... also, this should be enabled for all sources... if nothing else, all internet sources.

also, it would be great if it showed up in 'recently added'.

i think this and the 'que' requests could be merged into one feature.

+1 to above. This isn't hulu-specific. It should be across all internet sources as I can't always remember which internet source a show comes from.

It would be nice if the Hulu Queue was integrated into the Hulu plugin as another option other than the full tv/movies options.

This is definitely my most desired feature, even above more content. I usually use boxee to watch The Daily Show and a few shows on Hulu. My wife watches House Hunters, and it gets annoying to have to go through so many menus and lists.

I think the perfect solution would be to have a menu item, perhaps in the internet source list, that will list shows that I designate as "Favorite", regardless of which source it comes from. That way, we could browse the rest of the library to find new stuff, but still have a easier accessible section for the stuff we want to watch now.

Thanks for all of your great work! I look forward to seeing what comes next!

+1 One other nice enhancement would be to be able to program the download base on rss feed, for torrents for example, as we do on utorrent.

This way feeds that matched the criteria would be automatically downloaded as they become available.

This is one of the things that makes the TIVO interface such a pleasure. It is content oriented. I go to 'NOW PLAYING' and see my favorite things right there. All new shows and movies that I have subscribed to without any fuss...

It is the difference between watching entertainment and navigating a computer. Right now Boxee, as wonderful as it is, feels like navigating a computer. Tivo feels like watching entertainment. The interface is all about giving you the entertainment you want to watch with as little cognitive effort as possible.

When I see something I like I press a couple of buttons to get a season pass or even easier press 'thumbs up' to indicate I like it. From then on any new episodes will just appear for me at the top of my 'NOW PLAYING'.
When I tell people about some great show I am following they always ask, 'What channel is that on? What day and time?', and I honestly cannot answer because I don't have any idea what channel, day, time, or source any of my shows came from. I only know from the content, for example 'True Blood' has more nudity and violence than network TV would show so I know it must be coming from HBO.

Boxee is the best computer based media center there is. However it is still very SOURCE oriented. I need to browse, to search, in order to find things. When I turn on the TV I don't know if I want to watch 'South Park', 'True Blood', 'Battlestar Galactica'', etc etc because I don't know if there are any new episodes out yet. So I would have to search for 10+ different favorite shows in order to find what is new today.

I know this might seem foreign to most people who keep a mental calendar of their favorite TV shows in their heads. But Tivo has turned that upside down and it is wonderful. Watching TV on Tivo feels more like getting your favorite movies from Netflix. "Oh, one of my favorite shows is ready for me!"

A relatively easy way to change this would be to have a 'whats new' (or 'favorites' or 'subscriptions, etc) that would show in time order which of my subscribed shows have new content available, regardless of where they came from: ie: HULU, South Park web site, etc.

New user here -- I just created a forum account to support this comment. As a new user, Boxee is amazing and has great potential, but this is the #1 thing that I'd really like to see added. I'd love to be able to flag shows anywhere in Boxee and have a frontpage listing of new episodes. When I'm not actively wanting to go browsing for new stuff, popping up Boxee from the couch and immediately seeing "what's new" is exactly the way I'd like to use it every day.

I agree with peetee. boxee is great at what it does so far, but untill a list of all my new stuff that is available for online streaming shows up on the home screen, it is not realy, truly, useful as a media center. I am more interested in what is "Recently Available" to me than I am in what I "Recently Used" (as in finished with). And untill boxee becomes content oreiented, instead of sorce oreineted, I do not think that it can ever be considered as going "into beta" because a beta should be mostly useful. But thats just me.

I did find it interesting that in all of the "what would you most like to see in boxee" polls that I have taken, not a single one offered any choices that even remotly hinted at the fact that boxee is even going to try to make itself more content oriented. They where defently sorce oriented polls. Which leads me to ask the question;

"Hey boxee team, are you even going to attempt to make boxee content oriented instead of sorce oriented?"

That's what I want to see if you are going to do a set top box.

While I agree that being 'content oriented' would be a nice feature, I don't agree that it is a make or break feature.

On a related note.... Is there any plan to add "subscriptions" to the hulu features. Queue is okay, but I would need to continually add episodes via the computer. If I could access my hulu "subscriptions" it would be ideal. This way I need to add the TV show only once via a computer, after that all episodes are included under one heading in Boxee.

Just to illustrate the lengths I must go to in order to use Boxee as my main viewing vehicle: I have cancelled cable TV but I am still paying Tivo to record BLANK SCREENS just so I can see what is new. In other words, I first go to my Tivo to see what new episodes have come out. Then I switch to Boxee and "find" the shows to watch them. This way I don't have to keep track of when new seasons have started up and when new episodes vs. repeats have aired. My Tivo keeps track of it all. Without cable, however, I cannot actually WATCH the shows on Tivo.
Until Boxee can show me a "Whats new" list it will be awkward to use.

make a "Favorites" bar in the main page with direct access to favorite streaming shows / local folders.

Right, I would REALLY like a quick link (or favorites) on the homepage of boxee. That way I could keep pandora on the homepage, even an entire channel, like just a nav link to Hulu so I wouldn't have to go > video > internet > scroll to Hulu. I really only use a few functions regularly, so having Pandora, Hulu and Boston.com's Big Picture all on the front page as just shortcuts would be a HUGE UI improvement.

I was googling to see if this feature existed when I found this thread. +1.

As someone also mentioned earlier, I created a forum account just to request this feature. It's becoming a must. I'm getting tired of Video / Internet / Hulu / scroll scroll scroll scroll...

+1 for favorites here. I like 25 shows across 10 different channel feeds (hulu, tv library, etc). Searching for them is just a plain drag.

+1 Here, also.

It's a testament to how cool Boxee is, that we have SO much aggregated content available to get lost in.

Having bookmarks/Favorites would make it that much better to visit, and even disover new content.

Keep up the great work!

If it matters, I give my vote for this feature as well. The last update was 5/26/09... is there a place to check roadmap updates? The lack of a favorites feature has kept me from using boxee altogether. Great program, but until favorites are available then I stick with Zinc. :-)

I use the Queue for all my favorite TV Shows...
