I don't know if this is a known problem , but I could not find any information about it after trying several searches so I thought I would give you a heads up.

Some of the images I have posted on my Flickr account display as a blank or black screen in Boxee while others display fine. The only difference I can see in them is that the ones not displaying have a slightly higher pixel size.

Ones that display wonderfully have an original size of (1024 x 683). The images that are giving me problems are (1080 x 720) at the largest size. Here is an example of one:

I have recently tried to access them on my account which is "murdockscott".

Let me know if I can help in any way assuming this is a real problem and not just something I am missing.

BTW, Great Update! I love the Hulu support.

hi

are you having problem with the images in thumbnail view or full screen view.

Can you view these images locally .

Can i use this screen name just to check if it is working?

The thumbnails look fine, it is only when I try to see them in full screen that they don't show up. Also they seem to be "loading"... I just never see anything but black.

I have not tried to move those files to any local drive... I only keep them in raw format locally and publish directly to Flickr as they are generated from LightRoom. So I will find some time today and grab them off Flicker and see if they work Locally.

I guess you only need the screen name to view the images right? If thats the case then sure you can spoof me in the name of solving the issue. : )

New information...
I moved the problem images from flicker (click and drag to desktop download) to my system and surprisingly, Boxee is having the same issues with them. Every other method of displaying them that I have tried works fine. Preview, Photoshop, OSX Quicklook, dragging the file into an open Safari window, all work to display the images.

I examined the files in PS and the color space remains SRGB and I see nothing else strange about them, they don't seem to be corrupt in any way.

If I export the same images at the same pixel dimensions from LightRoom and put the new versions that have never been on flickr in a folder for Boxee... It displays them with no problems. So I would assume its something that Boxee doesn't like about the way flickr process image files... over a certain size maybe?
