All of my media resides on a Drobo, which is hooked up to a Windows PC. I stream it from there to Boxee running on my Mac Mini.

This set up works fine for everything except for DVD images that I've ripped to the Drobo. I copy the VIDEO_TS folder to my drobo and play the video_ts.ifo file in boxee.

Boxee is able to play them, but the video stutters every few minutes. The audio is smooth, but the video will freeze, and then speed up to catch up with the audio track. It doesn't happen all the time, but once for every few minutes of playback.

I don't get this when I stream xvid .avi files, just the raw DVD files. Any clue what causes it and is there anything I can do for a smoother playback?

I'm running the latest version of Boxee and the Mac Mini is a first generation Intel.

You video file damage. Check other file. If you get same problem then your DVD rom can't read file.

The DVD image is fine; if I copy it to the Mac Mini and play it locally, the issue disappears. Which leads me to think that it's a networking problem. Is there a way to increase the buffer size for streaming a DVD over a local network?
