Hi all,

Firstly Boxee rocks, got it on my Apple TV and works amazingly.. love the way it recognises all my media, and correctly puts it in the right places, although i had an issue with Fringe, kept telling me it's a move as opposed to a TV show..

Anyway a few thoughts..

1) Adding sources, cool feature but using the Keypad to enter an IP address is a long process since you can only get to the [.] via the symbol key, i would love to see the [.] on either side of the 0 on the numeric pad.

2) Torrents, very handy feature, i love the way it looks on screen, simple yet very effective, although more controls should be added via the settings:
- seed ratio
- trash torrent file

This will be a great addition to anyone whose bandwidth is capped or leave downloads overnight

another thing i notice that deleting from the downloads section deletes the actual file as opposed to just the torrent file, i think this should be made clearer aswell as the option to delete just the torrent file.

i believe the client that runs the downloads is rtorrent, i was wondering if there was or is any command line controls for it. If not it would be a great addition, i know with atvtorrents, there was the option of screen rtorrent, which was great to monitor how downloads where going while at work.

3) File manager - not sure if this is already there and i just couldn't find it. If not i think this is a must. File manager to allow files to be moved within folders, move/cut files from downloads folder etc..

have only used it for a few hours last night and it has amazing potential.. keep up the good work team

sorry for the long post,

Zim

It didn't work that way for me. I downloaded a fake file, deleted it from downloads and found the file is still in the hard drive... Don't know how to delete files yet...

Very good suggestions indeed

Interesting, may have to test that tonight.. i been using my Apple TV's hard drive for media at the moment, while i look around for a good NAS. I just ssh'd in to the box and deleted it from there..

Thanks for the great report...

When a torrent file has been downloaded it moves automatically to "downloads" file and can easily be viewed from the menuvideos>Sources>boxee Downloads...

the other suggestions have been forwarded to our product team:)

Coool.. i am sure the Boxee team will come up with some cool ideas ;) looking forward to the next few updates.

i found my downloaded files, but this morning i am sure they were still seeding, does it move it and continue seeding, or does it stop seeding once file has been completed..
