Apps - what isn't possible?

I'm going to start building a few Boxee apps. I understand you make video and audio sources and feed based apps and I'll likely make some of these.

Is it possible to make plugins that affect the functionality of Boxee? For example I'd love to make a plugin for 'marked as watched' type functionality as I'm bored of trying to remember where I got to with certain programs. Is this possible with Boxee plugins or the older XBMC style plugins?

I'm guessing not but if it is I'll get on it as I think this would be a very popular plugin.

Not currently possible. Things of that nature would require revisions to the source itself.

Oh well I'll make some media apps anyway whilst I wait for the beta.
