Hulu playback jerky

Are there any settings that can make hulu streams more smooth? I get a small but quite annoying jerky every few seconds (at key frames maybe).

I have my apple tv set to 720p and am using the latest update (as of today).

I'm noticing the same thing. Up-to-date as of today also with video set to 720p.

Ditto, same issues here...is there a way to increase the buffering time?

The hulu shows are still jerky. Better, but still jerky.



Enhancement Recommendations:
In the Internet Videos section, I don't want to see the black box below the "channels" I can read that it's Hulu, I don't need a second spot to tell me that.

In the Hulu menus, move Full Episodes to the top left, or the spot where the cursor will automatically go. Full episodes will be used more often than clips or the other categories.

Personally, I don't care for the "Rock Band" background or green color scheme. Something very clean and not busy is what I'd like to see.

In the episodes menu, why do I need to click twice to watch a show. Once would be plenty.

On the "main screen" I personally don't like the recommendations, or friends section. I would like to flag shows, music, or movies as "favorites" to appear on the main screen to show when there are new episodes (TV).

The functionality might be there for these recommendations, I just haven't found how to do it yet.

I am not sure if you guys are on linux or the mac version.
What i have found is that Hulu played jerky in Firefox on Ubuntu when using the below 10.0.12.x when other site worked fine, but Once I installed the latest version of flash in the browser hulu was fixed.

I have no clue how boxee plays flvs but maybe there is a way to update the flash plugin inside boxee or at least see what version is running.

I too am having the same issues with Hulu playback; it is extremely jerky (skips every 5-10 seconds), and it makes it unfortunately unwatchable. I doubt it's a connection speed issue, since my ATV is using a wired connection to a 15000kbps cable modem, and I don't have the problem when viewing on my computer.

Same issue. I first noticed it with Comedy Central, but it was much more evident with Hulu. Its almost unwatchable. Ah well, Boxee is alpha after all :)

Ditto on the jerkiness on my ATV. Works smooth on the mac using a browser.

Yeah, I just installed last night and Hulu videos are unwatchable. First it takes between 2-5 minutes just to start playback, then jerky pauses every 5-10 seconds.

Same here. Using the latest version of Boxee.

Hulu has been working fine but today it's jerky for some reason. Video skips every few seconds.
