Been a busy day with numerous failed attempts of loading the new ubuntu desktop on a 32bit pc. now I am running into issues with boxee. I downloaded and installed the package with synaptic, first error I get is that it is not authenticated software. I installed anyway and when I go to run my screen turns black and nothing happens, any suggestions?
Thx

Hope I'm not stating the obvious, but when troubleshooting an App like Boxee failing to render, etc. you should check that your OS is configured correctly for that given functionality. Like if Boxee doesn't output sound, you'll want to fire up other sound apps to test. With Boxee, a great test bed is XBMC which I think can install right off the Ubuntu install media. If not, synaptic package manager will download the binaries.
