Sometimes the videos will playback in a loop, sometimes not so much. Anyways here is the source code if anyone wants to install it for Boxee or try and brush it up.

It is based off thebigcheese's adult swim app so much thanks to him.

Install Intrructions
Put the cartoon directory into home/UserData/plugins/video
Add source to sources.xml (/userdata/profiles/(user)/sources.xml)

path location = plugin://video/cartoon/

So I am guessing this build is for linux boxee is that correct? I am on windows so just checking.

Thanks for your effort!

edit- please ignore the linux comment. I think I just don't know how to install plugins. I thought I followed your directions but I am still new to this.

I can't figure out for the life of me how to get this installed... Or any other not in a repository... I have edited the sources.xml and put it in the plugin dir under UserData... What the **** am I doing wrong? I mean can someone post exactly what it should look like in the sources.xml file? It's a little obnoxious for everyone to just assume we all know exactly what to do... Sorry it's been a bad day...

This is what I have in my sources.xml file as well. (under video)

As far as the download I unzipped the tar.gz and then unzipped the cartoon.tar file I got and put it under plugins in the video folder. Where it is a folder named cartoon and when you open it you see additional folders and your python files.

This worked for me in Ubuntu 9.04 linux... Just great... I had to place the cartoon dir into /home/<user>/.boxee/UserData/plugins/video... Works now... Go figure... LOL... Thank you for the help...

I am using Ubuntu Linux 9.04 Jaunty... When I was able to get it in it didn't show up in my App Box but actually showed up in my Applications already it was just without a thumbnail... What OS are you running and what version of Boxee and I'll attempt to help you get it up and somewhat running... Just to let you know all Cartoon Network vids are cut in two by commercials and the python script doesn't quite get it right (no offense) so most of the time you get to watch half of the show and it either A. starts over or B. goes back to the selection screen and continues the second part... LOL... Lemme know...

EDIT: Ok I know where your problem lies... What version of windows are you running? That will help me more than anything as the problem you are experiencing is because you are editing the wrong file... The one you want to edit is under your "home" directory... IE

In Vista the file you want would be C:\Users\<username>\AppData\ROAMING\BOXEE\userdata\profiles\<user>\sources.xml
Take into account to be able to find it you will probably need to turn on Show Hidden Files, you can do that by following this link
Show Hidden Files Tutorial (http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial130.html)

Also you will want to put the cartoon directory in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\ROAMING\BOXEE\userdata\plugins

I'm not 100% familiar with where it would be in Windows XP but I'm sure I can find it... Just let me know...

Thankyou for the breakdown I did get it to work after showing all hidden files.
I gotta say its a major let down though since it only lets you watch til the first comercial break then kicks you back to the menu. It still does me no good for the kids
