Videos are purple and inverted. Help!

When I watch my .mp4 movies using vlc or quicktime the picture is great. When I go into boxee and try to watch a movie, the color is purple and makes it look like the colors are inverted.

I am using a macbook pro hooked up to a vizio lcd tv.

Any help would be appreciated

guys try this

edited ~/Libary/Application Support/BOXEE/UserData/guisettings.xml and added the following under the <videoplayer> node:
<rendermethod>1</rendermethod>
