Good sample app needed to learn from.

Im wondering if someone can point to me a decent but simple app which I can use to learn from. My needs are pretty simple, input a search item, display the results (which I will need to retrieve from my webservice via JSON), and execute the play action.

Ive already created 2 RSS Apps just getting my feet wet (1 Live TV, 2 FOX), so now I want to take those and convert them into Python true apps.

So if an app exists that simple, uses JSON, would be really apreciative to the pointer...
