Boxee crashing while indexing

I have 0.9.14.6795 installed on a late 2008 13in macbook and it runs fine and seems stable. I just now updated my main machine which is a 2.0 ghz Mini to the same version and Boxee crashes for no reason. I have removed the user folder from ~<user>/library/application support to recreate it and the behavior persists. The only thing that Boxee seems to be doing is indexing an external drive where my videos are. Any help/ideas as to what is going on and how to "cure" it?
