New content: 4 on demand

Hi,

There's an excellent service in the UK called channel 4 on demand, which carries classic programs like Father Ted and Peep Show. On the site it claims that you need windows media player 10 (ewww) to watch it, but I wasn't sure if there was a plugin that would open it up to boxee.

who knows maybe some creative developer out there will create a new plugin for this ...i personally do not know the service so you need to check into it..:)

Just for reference, everyone seems to know the BBC iPlayer, but there are competing systems from the other big UK TV channels: ITV Catchup (http://www.itv.com/catchup/) and 4 On Demand (http://www.channel4.com/4od).

Sadly, ITV Catchup uses Microsoft Silverlight and 4OD just plain doesn’t work on anything except Windows.

I can't even get 4OD to work on Windows. That thing is junk. I have sent them abusive emails about it. :D

Now that 4od catchup is mac-compatible, any chance of adding it?

The Channel 4 service now works on Ubuntu Linix! I seems to use flash player.
