Hello, I've been accepted to test boxee a few hours minutes ago, and the first think I don't like is the none using of the mouse, so why boxee doesn't use the mouse?

Hi MrZeroo00.
Boxee is designed as a tv companion and as such most of its functionality is remote oriented.
You can, however enable mouse support in settings (under appearance).

boxee can be configured to work with a mouse, keyboard ,apple remote or even a universal remote (check out our forums at http://forum.boxee.tv/showthread.php?t=50) however the default setting for boxee at start up is not to enable the mouse but you can change once you are inside ...
you can use several options for controlling boxee:
1.Use the apple remote using the following instructions:
"play/pause" button - used to select
"menu" button - to go back to the previous screen
"+", "-", "" buttons - used for navigating up, down, left and right
2.You can use your keyboard:
arrow keys -used for navigating up,down, left and right.
enter key - used to select the feature
esc key -to go back to the previous screen.
tab key - full screen/windowed screen
"a" key -open the left menu
"s" key - open the logout option
Once you have enter boxee and you want to use the mouse (we at boxee recommend the keyboard/remote) go to Settings(left menu) ->Appearance->look and feel and then select enable mouse.
enjoy

Oh yeah that's true, I searched this option in the Settings panel but I didn't found it certainly because I use the french translation (that needs corrections by the way). Thank you!
