It just says "Error! connecting to download server". As near as i can tell rTorrent is not on my system, so that sort of makes sense. The question is: how best to get it working?

By the way is there anyway to give a name to RSS feeds other than what the feed itself specifies?

Bump to confirm that I too am having this issue with RTorrent. Just installed Boxee on an uberfresh Ubuntu install (Hardy Heron).

I get the same error, when i first install it (clean settings) it works, but after some reboots, usage etc it doesnt any longer.
I then again remove settings and it works for a little while, then i get the error.
Latest version of Boxee and Leopard on a MacBook Pro.

I thought I had the same problem, but it turns out I was just to eager to look at the Downloads in boxee..
First:
Check that you have enabled Rtorrent to start on Boxee-launch.
Settings -> System -> Boxee -> Run RTorrent client when boxee starts
Second:
Reboot / Restart Boxee
I prefer rebooting since there is the boxee-launcher process running.
Third:
Start boxee.
Open a Terminal (or ssh from another machine) and type: screen -ls
If the rtorrentclient is running sucr
You should see the following:
There is a screen on:
145.rtorrentboxee (Detached)
1 Socket in /tmp/uscreens/S-simon.
Add a torrent to the watch-folder (/Users/simon/Library/Application Support/BOXEE/UserData/Torrents) and wait for a while, it takes some time for RTorrent to allocate the discspace and start downloading, but once it's done that, you can watch the download progress from within Boxee.
I hope that you all understand that my username is "simon", and that you should replace "simon" with your username =)
I was too eager to watch the progress of RTorrent, befor it have had time to allocate discspace and so on, which made Boxee Hang on the Downloads-page, the only way to get out of Boxee was to kill the Boxee-process.
