I threw together and rss app earlier and installed it. It showed up fine, and as test I had used the facebook app thumbnail along with it. Now I want to change the thumbnail and have done so in the descriptor file but it continues to display the old facebook thumbnail. I have cleaned out old thumnails through preferences and re-launched a number of times. Any ideas guys? Thanks for your help.

I'm not sure if i had the exact same problem, though it sounds similar. I changed the thumbnail of an rss link and then when changed again remained the same no matter what i did. i erased the link altogether and it had the same thumbnail when i replaced it.

Strange thing was, i didn't fix it, i just turned my pc on yesterday and was pleasantly surprised to find it was correct on itself.

yea numerous restarts and each time I check it its the same. This is running on OSX. I'm going to see if I can reproduce it on Windows/Ubuntu (yes, I have all three running in fact).

Which brings me to another question. Where is the boxee bug-tracker?

Ok I figured this one out by reading around on the forum. Appears that purging thumbnails from the systems menu isn't nearly as effective as deleting the actual thumbnails folder from within the user profile directory.
