AppleTV crashes?

Hey everyone...

I have noticed a nuisance lately with my AppleTV with Boxee on it. After I SSH in and add some media locally (I do not like the choppy/buffering of streaming) my AppleTV will stay at a black screen no matter what button I press.

So here how the process goes:

Computer - SSH in, upload avi
Go to living room
Turn on TV, switch to appletv
Black screen
Randomly press buttons, but nothing happens

I do hear the menu sounds as though I am scrolling, but no video comes through. If I manually pull the power and plug it back in, everything is well again.

Ideas? thanks!

after you reboot ATV (pull plug n play) does boxee play the local file or does it stay as a black screen?

if t is annoying to pull the plug out of your atv, try this while your are in an ssh session.
sudo reboot
then give frontrow as the password when prompted. I got tired of unplugging my atv every time it would hang up on something.
