View Full Version : Can someone give me some opinions on this remote?

I was wondering, has anyone else ever used this remote, and if so, what is your experience like with it?

I have this EXACT remote and it works just fine.

Planning on running it on my windows vista machine, but if I can't soon solve the issue with the flickinering after watching a video, I might end up either moving my Linux box and using that, or formatting the machine and putting Ubuntu on it permanently.

Thanks. I currently am running Boxee on my ATV. However I am building one of my extra PCs to be a boxee/myth tv combo running Ubuntu but have yet to settle on a remote.

Yeah, well i'm hoping it will be for both. I can't see why not.

Well, I ordered the remote. Here is hoping for the best. As long as i can drop my keyboard/mouse, i will be happy.

Hi all,

I just got the remote in the mail today, and first impression is for $10 it seems to do a good job of letting me navigate through the menus and add content nicely, but I was hoping someone could help me with one thing.

The remote has the standard six buttons for play/pause/rewind/etc, but they don't work out of box, in boxee. I have to bring up the OSD to pause any streaming content. Is there a way to set them up to work, or am I SOL?

I am still waiting for Harmony support, similar to what Plex does :(
