Adding Video's and Music! Help please!!

Hello,

I have spent 24 hours trying to get boxee to recognize my media but it seems to not want to. Non of my videos or music has DRM. I have followed the guides found on this on how to add media but they don't seem to work. I add the sources but nothing shows up. Can someone please help me?!?!

can you provide some details about your system? (os version, file locations, file types, is the media networked?)

also, could you let me know what you've tried, and what isn't working? (ie: you can't see the meadi at all, or does boxee not recognize it?)
